8.5x11inch Magazine
This Editorial layout was designed in collaboration with Strike Magazine Boca; I was assigned the role of graphic designer and stylist. Inspired by House of Margiela and their take on deconstruction, the concept of creating a 1-of-1 handmade garment using only seven button-up t-shirts, and a combination of ties was used in this photoshoot. For the graphics and Layout, I took inspiration from old archived catalogs, Dior, Coach, Zadig & Voltaire, to name a few. A particular aesthetic caught my attention, vintage Margiela magazines were designed in an almost scrapbook style, mixing handwritten notes with actual type and photography from behind the scenes, it gave a much more raw and genuine feel that I wanted to try and do for the faceless. I took many scans of written notes, and images of tools used to sew the garment. There are various textures and layers, and even a short poem at the end concluding the article. The model is wearing clothing, shoes, and accessories 100% sourced from my closet.
The full spread was printed and published by Strike Magazine Boca in the Fall of 2024.
